The annual edition of the IEEE MTT International Microwave Symposium (IMS) took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 10-15 June 2018.
The IMS is the core of the Microwave Week 2018, a week of co-located conferences on RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave technologies. The Microwave Week 2018 includes also the annual edition of the Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Symposium and the Automatic Radio Frequency Techniques Group Conference.
This symposium has a rich programme from technical paper presentations to workshops, from tutorials to commercial exhibition for technologists involved in all aspects of microwave theory and practice.
The IMS2018 Exhibition consists of over 600 exhibiting companies that represent the state-of-the-art when it comes to materials, devices, components, and subsystems, as well as design and simulation software and test/measurement equipment.
The theme of the 2018 edition is “Microwaves, Medicine, Mobility” as the highlight of the contributions of the RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave research, development, and products to the fields of medicine (including diagnosis and treatment) and telecommunications including 5G, Internet-of-Space (IoS), and Internet-of-Things (IoT).
OMMIC is was present in the exhibition area with its own booth where proudly presented the GaN based power amplifier MMIC that has been designed and manufactured within QV-LIFT project. At the time of the Conference, the first run of MMIC fabrication has been completed and tested with encouraging results.
